Our Story

The Heart

Bosha is more than just a brand; it is the name of my grandmother. To me, she was the ultimate symbol of elegance, beauty, and artistic wisdom. She was the keeper of our family’s heritage, and my fondest memories are of playing at her beautiful presence.

The Journey

I grew up watching my mother, Shosho, and my grandmother, Bosha, sewing garments for our community. While I eventually mastered the needle myself, my hands were always busy crafting long before I turned to textiles. From selling my first doll at 17 to creating therapeutic dolls for traumatized children, In 2020, I debuted my first solo exhibition for children presenting 20 handmade  dolls representing the diverse beauty and life of Sudanese girls and women. I learned that a doll is never 'just a toy.' She tells a story.

The mission

As a mother of two daughters living abroad, I felt a deep desire for my children to truly know me, to understand their language, their culture, and the vibrant history of the women who came before them. I realized that if I wanted my daughters to embrace their heritage, I had to bring it to them through play .

An Expanding World

We are beginning this journey with our premiere, limited-edition heritage doll, crafted to be a timeless companion and a meaningful piece of home. While she takes center stage today, the name Bosha represents a broader vision: a dedicated world of cultural storytelling and beautifully designed keepsakes for the next generation.

We invite you to hold a piece of home, and welcome you to the very beginning of Today, I share this vision with you through Boshas world.
